The process for developing the Conservation Blueprint will combine a comprehensive scientific analysis with extensive community input to identify the priorities for conservation in the county. The goal of the Conservation Blueprint process is to identify what we want to protect. Community input is a vital component of this process because we will, as a county, protect only what is important to us.
The Land Trust is seeking your input in a variety of ways:
- This website is designed to provide you with up-to-date information, so your input is informed; you can contact us at any time through the website. You can also sign-up for e-mail updates about postings and community events. We encourage you to tell others about this opportunity to stay in-the-loop about the Conservation Blueprint process.
- We will be hosting four community forums in April and May to share information developed by our science teams and to solicit community input. The community forum dates and times are as follows:
- Wednesday, April 21st at the Watsonville Community Room in the Civic Plaza from 6pm to 9pm.
- Tuesday, April 27th at the Simpkins Swim Center in Live Oak from 6pm to 9pm.
- Thursday, April 29th at the Long Marine Lab Semour Center in Santa Cruz from 6pm to 9pm.
- Tuesday, May 4th at the Highlands Park Senior Center in the San Lorenzo Valley from 6pm to 9pm.
- We encourage you to share your ideas and to stay informed by signing up for e-mail updates.
